  Logical_Consistency_Report:
Topology has been validated for the feature classes. Tests for logical consistency were performed by ArcGIS Topology software. All points, lines, and polygons were visually checked, and are labelled correctly. All points, lines and polygons are visually checked in conjunction with the GeMS Topology Check rules. Not all outputs are errors.

This database has been validated using GeMS validation tools. A validation and error report accompanies the database.
    https://github.com/usgs/gems-tools-arcmap/wiki/GeMS_ToolsDocumentation#ValidateDatabase

Care was taken to limit categorical attribute errors. Attribute accuracy of the database was visually inspected but despite the checks there may be some attributes that are still mislabeled.

Certainty in attribute interpretation varies throughout the map and is scale dependent. When known, certainty in attribute interpretation is indicated in the relevant fields. Attribute fields within each feature class record the authors' degree of confidence in the existence or identity of applicable features.
  Completeness_Report:
Data collection does not include all possible traverses, measured sections, etc., and thereby is not complete. Not all field data were collected nor were all of the data compiled from lineage maps. Geologic concepts and definitions of map units are current. Density of observations is sufficient to support the map(s).

These materials were developed based on regional conditions and they cannot substitute for site-specific information based on site-specific investigations. Site-specific data may yield results that differ from those depicted in this publication. This data was reviewed according to MBMG publication guidelines.

Data was collected and interpreted at a variety of scales from a variety of base maps. Field work was conducted using a variety of technology. Data may have also be compiled or digitized from paper maps. Positional errors should be expected from input of digitized points and lines from paper maps and the errors that arise from georeferencing the paper maps (accuracy of content). Not all resources were tested to evaluate the degree to which these inaccuracies exist.

Positional accuracy of geologic contacts, structures, and measurement points is influenced by the subjective judgment of the mappers or by interpretation of remotely sensed data and base maps. Therefore, the data user must consider the aforementioned methods of data collection and compilation in context of positional accuracy and understand that most lines and polygon boundaries are inferred based on geologic interpretations. Users of this information should review or consult the primary data and information sources to ascertain the usability and accuracy of the information.

Certainty in feature boundaries or location varies throughout the map. Data fields within each feature class and the accompanying orientation and location confidence lookup tables record the authors' degree of confidence in the location of applicable features.
